This is why you must explore India

India is a land of diversity. Many travelers have said that the people here, are probably the most welcoming, hospitable and generous people they have ever encountered in their lives. The warmth of their genuine happiness and smiles will surely make you want to visit this place.

Mark Twain, the American author and humorist has nicely surmised the land of India in these words:

This is indeed India! The one land that all men desire to see, and having seen once, by even a glimpse, would not give that glimpse for the shows of all the rest of the world combined.

India is a paradise for the all the foodies, vegetarians and the people who like to try on

new kinds of food. The Indian food is as diverse as its culture. Some of the popular regional Indian dishes are Idlis and dosas of South India, Rajma-chawal of North India, Butter chicken of Punjab, Dal-Bati-Churma of Rajasthan, Luchi (fish dish) of Bengal etc. Don’t forget to try the local sweet dishes like Sandesh, Gajar ka Halwa (Carrot cake), Rasgullas, Jalebis, Mysore Pak, Gujiyas and Laddu.

 

The Taj Mahal

The Taj Mahal, which is also called the monument of love, is the first wonder of the world and one of the most visited monument on the planet. It is a tomb of the Mughal Empress Mumtaz Mahal, built by her husband, Shah Jahan.The Taj Mahal is made out of ivory-white marble, which glows on a full moon night, and is located on the banks of the river Yamuna. The construction of the monument was completed in 1653, and employed 20,000 workers who worked under the guidance of the chief architect, Ustad Ahmad Lahauri. The Taj Mahal is considered to be a symbol of love and beauty all around the world. The localites have a believe that every time you visit the Taj Mahal, it never leaves you and stays in your heart.

Forts of India

India is a country which has a rich cultural history. Various kings belonging to various dynasties built palatial abodes and fortresses for themselves which gave India, an extravagant heritage. India is home to innumerous forts. Some of them are in ruins, but some forts were protected from the very starting to keep the past restored. Here are some most majestic forts, which makes you go back into the history and become a part of the splendor and grandeur. There are innumerable forts in India. Some of the popular forts are Gwalior fort, Amber fort, Hawa Mahal (Palace of winds), Junagarh fort, Golconda fort, etc.

Adventure hub for adrenaline junkies

From trekking through the snow packed terrain in the mountain ranges to snorkeling and deep-sea diving in the Andamans… India surely is a treat for the adrenaline junkies. For the people, who are not so junkies, they can also enjoy hot air balloon rides, boating, rock climbing, etc. India has become one of the hotspots for the adventures travel and well-known as one of the best places in the world for its traditional and adventures games.

India is a land where people from different religions coexist harmoniously. Due to diversity in religions and cultures, there are variations in the festivals also. India is worldwide known for its rich cultural histories. During these festivities, the atmosphere of the place is completely different and it is apparently the best time to visit that place. Some of the most famous festivals celebrated across India are Holi, Diwali, Dussehra, Christmas, Eid, etc. India is also known for its famous fairs which provides beautiful and lively experience like the Kumbh Mela(Fair), Pushkar fair, Goa Carnival, Hemis Gompa Fair, etc.

India is a huge magnet for attracting foreign patients for medical treatments. They travel India to seek medical treatment as India has a very reliable and cost-effective medical sector along with the availability of latest medical technologies. One of the prime reasons of the flourishment of India’s economy and health care is the medical tourism sector. Moreover, a visa-on-arrival scheme for tourists from select countries has been instituted which allows foreign nationals to stay in India for 30 days for medical reasons. The traditional Indian healthcare practices like Yoga, Ayurveda treatments, Kerala therapies, Herbal treatments, etc. are very popular and attract many foreign patients.

Wildlife Sanctuaries and National Parks

India has a heterogeneous geographical feature which has resulted in variation in the flora and fauna. However, in order to maintain the ecological balance, the government has built several wildlife sanctuaries and national parks. Due to this, the endangered species are taken care of in their natural habitat and are rescues from getting extinct. There are more than 100 wildlife sanctuaries and national parks in India. Hence, it is a treat for the wildlife enthusiasts. Kaziranga national park (Assam), Gir National Park & Sasan Gir Sanctuary (Gujarat), Ranthambhore national park (Rajasthan), Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary (Karnataka), Jim Corbett National Park (Uttarakhand) are few to name.
