About Dharamshala

Located in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, Dharamshala is a beautiful little city surrounded cedar forests on the edge of mountain range of Himalayas. This city is home to his highness Dalai Lama and is of great religious and spiritual importance to many people. Located in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, it used to be the second winter capital. It is about 18 kilometers from Kangra. One of the main attractions of Dharamshala is excursion trip to Triund hill. Triund is located approximately 30 minutes from Dharamshala and is a mere 4 hours trek with a distance of about 9 km from McLeod Ganj. This serene city is situated amidst the Dhauladhar ranges which is why every visitor feels mesmerized by the picturesque vistas!

There are variety of places that you can explore in Dharamshala like Gyuto & Namgyal Monasteries, the stunning Kangra valley (Kangra fort & Museum), Bhagsunag Waterfalls, various temples like Tsuglagkhang Complex Dalai Lama Temple, Bhagsunag Temple, Masroor Rock Cut Temple etc.

Therefore whenever you visit, make sure that you have enough time to soak in all the beauty of this stunning place and travel very responsibly. (Responsibly because Dharamshala is still one of the less popular places, so if you visit there, make sure that you leave its natural environment as pure as possible.) And what better way to extend your stay than to stay in a beautiful property. Here  we have narrowed down our list to a few of the must-visit hotel properties of Dharamshala.
