Top 10 unexplored beaches of India

In India, the city Goa is so synonymous with beaches, especially with the young travellers, that the other scenic beaches are left unexplored. So, here is a list of such beaches, from not only Goa, but other states of India as well which are not so crowded and the people can enjoy their beach holidays in a calm and serene environment, instead of the usual hustle and bustle of the crowded and overrated beaches. These beach holidays are surely going to become an inseparable part of your most cherished memories. So pack your beach essentials and get going…

Ganga Beach, Gokarna

The beautiful Ganga Beach is one of the secluded paradise which is still untouched by the hands of commercialisation. Fringed with ancient lighthouse and scenic groves all around, this virgin beach in Gokarna, Karnataka is located within half an hour from the popular Om Beach. So, if you want to spend some lonely time in the lap of mother nature and away from the crowd- this is the perfect place for the same.

Ramakrishna Beach, Andhra Pradesh

The Ramakrishna beach is located in the most popular beach of Visakhapatnam. The beach provides a lovely countryside lifestyle. Since Ramakrishna Beach comprises a large part of the water’s edge, it has got a huge area where different activities can take place simultaneously.  People can take the local cruise to enjoy the sunset and sunrise amidst the tranquil waters. Moreover, one can also take a ride in the traditional fishing boat by taking help from the fisher folks.

Radhanagar Beach, Andaman and Nicobar Islands

The Radhanagar beach is without any doubt is one of the Asia’s best beach and it is also named the world’s 7th best beach by Time magazine. It is located in the Great Andaman, on the Havelock islands of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Nagoa Beach, Diu

Nagoa is a very small village located near the sea and this area is quite liked by the people.Nagoa Beach located in Diu, boasts of a pastoral charm of an old fishing village. The crescent-shaped beach is ideal for activities like swimming, sunbathing, water sports and exciting camel or pony riding.

Agatti Beach, Lakshadweep Islands

The Agatti Beach, located on the Agatti Island of the Lakshadweep Islands and is famous for the tranquil atmosphere as the island is not much inhabited. The white sand beach provides a relaxing and serene view, with crystal clear sea water. The remoteness and the picturesque view of this place attracts the visitors from all over the world. Activities like swimming in crystal clear waters, snorkelling and scuba diving Deep Sea Fishing, sailing, glass bottom boat rides, water skiing and kayaking can be done here.

Querim Beach, Goa

The Querim Beach, beach lies at the mouth of the Terekhol river on the southern bank. It is also known locally as Keri and is the northernmost beach of Goa. The beach is dotted with many pine trees. The waters here are clear and the beach is serene and calm as not many houses and shacks are located here. One can often see tourists and locals fishing on the beach.

Talasari Beach, Odisha

Talasari Beach is a pristine beach located in the Balasore district, Odisha, and is one of the less populated and undamaged beaches in the state. It lies on the north-eastern coast of India and is located 88 km away from Balasore city and 4 km from Chandaneswar. The serene beach of Talasari, spread along the Bay of Bengal, is less known amongst visitors due to lack of promotion as a tourist destination. Talasari Beach is nestled near the Subarnarekha River and the sea, near the Odisha-Bengal border. It is the last beach in the Odisha to the north. Talasari’s beach is famous for its fishing village, and among people partial to sea food.

St. Mary’s Beach, Karnataka

If you want to go to a less populated or secluded island, where the sounds of waves washing ashore can be heard, St. Mary’s islands is your destination. The St. Mary beach is provides beautifully comfortable surroundings with cobalt blue sea water and sandy beach. The ferry ride from this island gives the chances to explore the expansive Indian Ocean.

Elephant Beach, Andaman and Nicobar Islands

Elephant Beach is located approximately 20 minutes by boat from the Havelock Island dock. This destination offers beautiful white sand beach along with an amazing coral reef which starts at a depth less than a metre. The majestic view of the white sand beach and blue-green water and the boat ride to the lighthouse, can leave anyone spellbound.

The beach is located in the Kerala between Thalassery and Kannur. There is an unpaved road winding through coconut groves leading to the beach. One can also try the various adventure sports like paragliding, parasailing and microlight flights here. Other attractions include water sports, power boating or a simple catamaran ride.
