Uttarakhand is one of the most beautiful state in India which has so many cities and town, which are so surreal and breathtakingly stunning that it makes one want to visit it more often. It has so many pretty little places which are unique in their own way.<\/p>\n

This state can be divided into two main regions and administrative divisions – the Kumaon <\/b>and the Garhwal<\/b>. We will talk about the Kumaon district in this blog and why this alluring little district needs to be explored!<\/p>\n

The Kumaon district\u2019s important towns are Haldwani, Nainital, Almora, Pithoragarh, Rudrapur, Kashipur, Pantnagar, Mukteshwar and Ranikhet. Out of which Nainital, being the administrative centre, has the Uttarakhand high court. The best season<\/strong> or months to visit places in Kumaon are February, March, October, November, December. Tourists visiting from the central or southern parts of India shall experience slightly cold even during the months of August – September as one may experience mist and cool breezes even during the daytime and the nights are certainly cooler.<\/p>\n

Offering the mesmerizing expanse of hills and the panoramic view, this place has so much to offer. There are a few wildlife sanctuaries, various lakes, religious sites and beautiful natural landscape which is surely enough to provide you with the feeling of nirvana!<\/p>\n

Uttarakhand hosts 6 national parks, 8 Wildlife Sanctuaries and 1 Biosphere Reserve out of which the Kumaon district has three of these awe-inspiring facilities. If you are a nature lover, then Kumaon has more than just the hills and lakes for you. The expanse of dense forests offers places like Corbett National Park (521 sq kms), Binsar Wildlife reserve, Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve (5,860.69 sq kms).<\/p>\n

Sattal is an interconnected group of seven freshwater lakes situated in the Lower Himalayan Range near Bhimtal, a town of the Nainital district in Uttarakhand, India. Initially carved out of Almora, Pithoragarh is the easternmost district of Uttarakhand, which is surrounded by Nepal (to the east) and Tibet (to the north). Due to its obscure and exquisite beauty, it is also known as \u2018Little Kashmir\u2019. This petite valley is located at an altitude of 1,650 mts above the sea level and is just 5 kms long and 2 kms wide. The Chandak hills, with an elevation of 200 mts provides exceptionally picturesque view of the snow-capped mountains of Nanda Devi, Panchachuli and Appi of Nepal.<\/p>\n
