Chandni Chowk: This market exemplifies the quintessential feeling of Old Delhi — noisy, busy, and overflowing with goods. People, bicycles, cycle rickshaws and animals jostle for space in the narrow lanes near obscure stores selling anything from wedding wear to jewelry, hardware, and electronics. North Indian snacks are plentiful. (Some wholesale sub-markets closed on Sundays)

Hauz Khas Village: A chic market located in what used to be a village, it is dotted with contemporary restaurants, designer art stores, and clothing outlets. Various restaurants and bars play host to musical performances, with the Hauz Khas Tomb, the lake, and the deer park located nearby.

Khan Market: One of Delhi’s oldest markets, this complex has a mix of regular stores and up-market restaurants. Stores range from brand names to one-store boutiques and tailors, and shops sell anything from books to cosmetics. Abundant cafes feature all cuisines. (Some shops closed on Sundays)

Paharganj: This congested hub of tourist activity is due to a multitude of budget-accommodating options and eateries. Sarojini Nagar: Among the more crowded markets, especially on weekends, this market is known for shops selling clothes, ranging from cheap t-shirts to brand stores. The most popular stores are those that sell stylish factory rejects with minor-defects at bargain prices. Bargaining is the norm here. (Closed on Mondays)

Saket malls: Visit upto three adjacent malls in Saket - Select City Walk, DLF Place Mall and MGF Metropolitan Mall. These modern malls offer a mix of shops and department stores selling brand clothing, lifestyle goods, electronic goods, and more.
